It is extremely brave and courageous to disclose to a stranger. My goal is to help provide feelings of comfort, trust, and safety. Whether a adult, couple, or family, I am here to listen without judgment or personal agenda and guide you to the best of my ability. It is my duty to be professional, ethical, and most importantly supportive in this courageous journey.
I specialize in Narrative Therapy which is a style of therapy that helps people become and embrace being an expert in their own lives. As you experience events and interactions, you give meaning to those experiences and they, in turn, influence how you see yourself and the world. You can carry multiple stories at once, such as those related to your self-esteem, abilities, relationships, and work. I also incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to help identify, challenge, and replace negative thinking patterns. For couples, I use Gottman Therapy, which helps to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy or disappointment; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.
